Fulwell Charity Golf Day
The 33rd READY golf day was held, as usual, at Fulwell Golf Club on 18th April. It was a magnificent sunny day, if a bit chilly at first, and 106 golfers took part in what was an extremely worthwhile and happy occasion.
Fulwell Golf Club looks after us royally, and we were particularly delighted that their captains, Andrew Wilson and Karen Francis, joined their President Robert Drake and Secretary Murray Cook in entering a team. The club captains have chosen us as their charity for their year in office, so it was great to see them take part and finish third.
Our winners were The Polensa Boys, made up of Paul Middleton, Ray Redmond, Graham King and Paul Deeks, and Justine Lawry, Colin Herridge’s daughter, presented the prizes.
