Who we are

READY raises money to help young people with disabilities play sport and take part in healthy activities for fun and fitness. We are run completely by volunteers.

Over the years we've helped hundreds of children with grants for racing wheelchairs, basketball wheelchairs, blind cricket, ramps, prosthetics, seated skis, team kit, racing gloves, specialist hearing aids, gym equipment, swimming lessons, facilities and transport for kids, carers and even ponies!

How we work

At READY, we’re here to support young people with disabilities in accessing sports and healthy recreational activities. If you’re under 25 and need funding for specialist sports equipment or activities, we welcome your application.

Application Criteria:

You live in the UK
You’ve raised some funds towards your goal
You’re requesting funding for costs that can be paid directly to a supplier (READY does not provide funds directly to individuals)
You can provide supporting documentation from a doctor, hospital, clinic, or relevant professional, confirming the necessity of the equipment or support
You can submit an invoice or clear breakdown of costs, including details of the external party the payment should go to
