READY raises money to help young people with disabilities play sport and take part in healthy activities for fun and fitness. We are run completely by volunteers.
Over the years we’ve helped hundreds of children with grants for racing wheelchairs, basketball wheelchairs, blind cricket, ramps, prosthetics, seated skis, team kit, racing gloves, specialist hearing aids, gym equipment, swimming lessons, facilities and transport for kids, carers and even ponies!
The grants our we are able to make can be truly life changing.
Since our beginnings in Richmond upon Thames in 1991 as a Mayor’s Charity initiative, support from Twickenham based RFU, Friends of READY and many corporate and individual donors READY has now raised over £1,000,000. READY is run entirely by volunteers and the money we raise goes directly to grant recipients.
