In recent weeks, two READY Trustees visited Richmond Rugby Club during their fixture against local rivals London Scottish.
During the visit, a plaque was highlighted commemorating READY’s contribution to the construction of a wheelchair-accessible ramp, enabling disabled children to watch and enjoy matches at the club.
Donald Campbell captured a photograph of Vinny Codrington standing beside the plaque, which serves as a lasting reminder of READY’s commitment to inclusivity and access. The ramp has been particularly meaningful to the club following a tragic injury suffered by former Under 19 player Gareth Savin, whose accident resulted in him being confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
The plaque stands as a symbol of the positive and lasting impact of READY’s support on the club and its community.
