Toby Gold – SportsAid’s August athlete of the month

Thames Ditton based Toby who has been racing for just 3 years is now 2nd in the world in wheelchair racing’s T33 100m, 200m and 400m.

Breaking 2 long-standing European records at his first IWAS World Junior Games in Stoke Mandeville this summer, knocking 14 seconds off the 400m and then 3 days later he completed the 100m in 17:57 seconds which would have won him the gold at London 2012 and a new Paralympic record and the gold medal.
